The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?
Manage casing application

Casing materials and recipe are selected and instructions are given to appropriate personnel. Completed |
Evidence:
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)requirements and hazards are identified and appropriate action is taken to minimise the risks to self and others. Completed |
Evidence:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)and clothing are selected and used according to farm OHS procedures. Completed |
Evidence:
Condition and quality of spawn run are assessed before casing and, if required, remedial action is taken according to farm procedures. Completed |
Evidence:
Where supplement is to be added to substrate at casing, product and its rate of application are selected and instructions are given to appropriate personnel. Completed |
Evidence:
Casing mixture is checked against farm standards for moisture, structure and depth, and remedial action is taken if required. Completed |
